There is a fantastic worldwide crowdfunding campaign for Parkinson’s Disease happening right now, and we’d love for you to join us in getting involved.
The Parkinson’s Global Project (PGP) is a new worldwide research project that – as you may have guessed – is dedicated to funding Parkinson’s research, and supporting Parkinson’s associations, regardless of their location.
Led by neuro-rehabilitation specialist Karl Sterling, Naboso is supplying our textured insoles for one of PGP’s first research projects.
Karl’s work with Parkinson’s patients and Naboso over the past year has been truly inspirational. Recently, he’s been capturing videos with some of his clients as they slip Naboso insoles into their shoes and walk – sometimes unaided for the first time in a long time.
Together with a number of US-based universities, PGP will fund studies with Parkinson’s patients using Naboso insoles, patients using RockTape, and a range of other products all designed to improve mobility, balance and stability. These studies will aim to build a greater understanding of reducing the risk of falls among those with Parkinson’s, and in slowing disease progression.
Karl will soon begin a series of US-based fundraising activities, designed to build on the $5000 already pledged over past weeks by people wanting to see better lives for those with Parkinson’s.
The Parkinson’s Global Project’s goal is to raise $30,000 to kickstart this first research.
Please join us in providing your support for this very worthwhile cause.
